BIG BIG NEWS!!!!

We are doing the happy dance this week. It really has been incredible. First, we received a phone call from Wyatt's school. Ummm, yah - it's always an interesting visceral reaction when that particular name pops up on the Caller ID. It was his teacher (whom we ADORE!) stating that she would like to try Wyatt on full days of school beginning Monday. This is huge! Wyatt has been on 1/2 days since October of 2006. We feel like he is making amazing progress with all of the interventions we have been throwing at him.

THEN, as if that weren't enough to make our whole week, immediately following the phone call from Mrs. J. we received a call from Karen Shirk, who is the director of 4 Paws for Ability. It seems the dog that is meant for Wyatt truly is a wonderdog, because we are now going to be attending the May class! This means that we will have four months working as a team before entering the fourth grade, instead of the original two weeks. This also means Start Of Summer Parade will include our newest family member. I just really can't even articulate how thrilled our family is. When I told Wyatt that our class had been moved to May he asked, "Is that before or after Christmas?" I really wanted to tell him it IS Christmas. He is going to receive one amazing gift...

Again, our heartfelt thanks to all of the people who made this dream come true. Our friends, family and Samaritans raised $15,345 total to provide Wyatt's amazing dog and help others on their quests as well.

Oh, and taking two weeks off school to attend Wyatt's service dog class? My employer was really cool about it. Ken and Rick rock! Really, this whole experience has been very, very humbling. It reminds me of how awesome people can be and how the people around us are often God's way of answering our prayers. It also makes us more aware that were are put here to help others' prayers be answered.
Happy Easter!
